Terms of service

Draft for review. This text is a working draft, not yet approved and not legal advice. Items in [brackets] still need the seller's details. Last updated 2026-11-07.

These terms apply when you buy or use R2M, a plugin for Autodesk 3ds Max that imports Rhino .3dm files ("the Software"), and when you use this website. The Software is made by Panoptikon ("we", "us"): [legal entity name], [registered address], [company number], [VAT number]. Contact: [contact email, to be added].

1. Who sells R2M

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payments and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase itself: paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

2. Plans and prices

  • Monthly (€4 per seat per month) and Yearly (€29 per seat per year) are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
  • Lifetime (€99 per seat) is a one-time payment for a perpetual licence, updates included for as long as we publish R2M.
  • Prices are in euros. Paddle charges VAT or sales tax where it applies, based on your location.
  • We may change prices for future periods. A change to a running subscription applies from the next renewal, after notice by email.

3. Trial

Each account and each machine can use one free 14-day trial with all features. No payment details are needed. When the trial ends, importing and re-syncing stop until you buy a licence.

4. Seats and accounts

One seat lets one machine run R2M at a time. You can move a seat to another machine by releasing it from the Software (up to 5 moves per 30 days; we can release machines for you on request). Keep your sign-in email secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share an account to run more machines than you have seats.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the link in your Paddle receipt email, or by contacting us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the licence stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

6. Licence to use the Software

Your use of the Software is governed by the end user licence agreement. Scenes you create with R2M are yours. They keep opening and rendering after a trial or subscription ends.

7. Online licence checks

The Software checks your licence online about once a day and works offline for up to 14 days after a successful check (30 days for lifetime licences). If our licence service is unavailable, we will do our best to restore it quickly; the offline period is meant to cover short outages.

8. Warranty and liability

We test R2M on real production files, but software has bugs. Keep backups of your scenes. To the extent the law allows, the Software is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for R2M in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email or in the Software at least 30 days before they apply to existing customers.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [country]. Courts in [city, country] have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
